Our story
A recipe passed down, cup by cup
Tapee — also written Tepee, or Thephi in its approved English name — is a traditional Thai herbal drink. There is no single official formula: versions have been adapted over generations by region, family, and the plants growing nearby. Ours is blended in Thailand from 15 herbs, with Jewel Vine at its heart, and finished with warming spices like cinnamon, clove, and star anise.
What to expect in the cup
Taste
Earthy and herbal — the New Recipe leans menthol-like. Honey or lemon rounds it out beautifully.
Aroma
A menthol-like lift, carried by Siamese Cardamom and warming spices.
Colour
Brown to reddish-brown in the cup — the red tone comes from Sappanwood.
Two recipes, one tradition
Original vs. New Recipe
The two versions differ in the quantities and variations of herbs — not in being entirely different formulas.
New Recipe sachets and teabags share the same recipe — the differences between them are practical, not in the blend.
